Program Schedule:  

  • Introduction to the program. We’ll share what it’s about, discuss expectations and agreements. We’ll introduce each participant and facilitate discussions about goals, fears, and desires. We’ll share individual stories and give direction on next steps.

  • Introduction to the physics of stress and anxiety: You will learn what stress is, what it does, and how your brain and nervous system get triggered. We will examine the results of stress, PTSD, and burnout, with a focus on looking at how to get back to resilience. 

  • Together we’ll review online Module 1. We’ll talk about your health and what you’re prioritizing. Are you feeling like ‘pulling the ripcord’ and getting out? Are you always on the hunt for the next thing? We’ll introduce you to the topic of boundaries and give new meaning to the Golden Rule!

  • We will look at the critical role breathing has in de-stressing and rebalancing. Learning to regulate and focus your attention on your breathing is one the simplest and most effective strategies for stress relief.

  • Exhaustion is often fuelled by frustration. If you find yourself thinking, “I contribute so much and get little or no validation” you’re likely feeling angry, defeated, and frustrated. But, you keep at it. You’re like a rock: steady, unphased, you help regulate others’ emotions. This leaves no room for you! The result: burnout.

    We’ll dive into breathing techniques that you can practice in your day-to-day.

  • Dealing with the chaos created by stress and anxiety is often experienced as running out of time and space. When we are stressed we are always focused on the future and have no place for the present. We will explore the importance of being in the present by offering resources required for stress relief.

  • We’ll get deep ing into creating boundaries in your life, to stray from the path to overwhelm and burnout. We’ll introduce a character style that you’ll feel deeply connected to. Finally, we’ll talk about the tendency to use “armoring” as a pattern of defence.

  • Keeping stress at bay means taking time to properly nourish yourself, both physically and mentally. Proper nourishment and controlled eating can help you calmly approach everyday tasks, creating space for greater ease and fulfilment.

  • Self-care paves the road to balance. Stress and feeling overwhelmed is more than an emotional response – the way you take care of your body affects your level of stress and your available energy. You’ll learn powerful methods for physical self-care, helping you stay healthy and energetic, while reducing or eliminating the effects of stress.

  • There are many reasons we struggle to prioritize self-care. You might fear that people may discover something unfavourable about you. You might fear that you’ll never achieve anything unless you burn the candle at both ends. Working on yourself might feel exposing. 

    From a holistic view, we’ll walk through what a healthy balance in life looks like: emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and sexual. 

  • Getting a good night’s rest is essential for reducing stress and supporting yourself in a balanced way. You'll learn about what sleep and dreams do for you, and how you can get enough of both.

  • Let’s talk sleep. The connection between sleep and stress is a common struggle (i.e. ruminating). Your bedtime routine, napping, and waking in the middle of the night all affect how you function in your life. You will learn to identify your sleep patterns and learn tools to improve them. 

  • Stress and worry stems from a lack of connection to self, to others, and to our surroundings. We were born to connect; now it’s time to re-connect. We’ll look at how chaos and disorganization of living stressed and anxious lives can lead to isolation. We’ll look at how  isolation manifests as addictive tendencies. When we treat the underlying causes of isolation , we make space for connection.

  • We’ll cover Martin Buber’s contribution to attachment theory, various attachment styles, and where you fit on the attachment spectrum. We’ll discuss more on addiction and isolation, and introduce the concept of co-dependence

  • Build resilience into your life, know how to deal effectively with stressful situations, and break the cycles that don’t serve you. Relaxation is the goal of your stress-reduction journey. For many of us, relaxation can be difficult to achieve. Relaxing is about developing resilience. We’ll delve into what resilience looks like and how you can use it to live free of stress, chronic tiredness, and worry.

  • We’ll dive deep into resilience and introduce co-empowerment and true interdependence. We’ll also begin working with your personalized worksheet

  • You want to do it all and that’s ok!! So, how can you “do it all” and not break. We’ll complete the first draft of your personalized worksheet and have room for discussion.
